I trained at Loughborough College of Art, graduating as a Furniture Designer, and then at High Wycombe school of Art, also studying furniture design and production technology. My first job was for Ind Coope, the brewer, designing the interiors of many London public houses. I then moved to the British Shoe Corporation, designing the interior of their shops.

For many years I worked in secondary education, finishing my career as Head of Art, Design and Technology and ICT.

Retirement has given me the opportunity to devote much more of my time to drawing and painting.I work from a studio attached to my house and paint in a variety of media, including watercolour and pen and ink, though I prefer a mixed media approach. My work is particularly detailed and I enjoy depicting a range of subjects including flowers, buildings and landscapes.

My work is displayed in private collections in the UK and abroad, and in local museum collections.
